What goes wrong in this use case
Headers carry units the model ignores: revenue in $000 on one sheet, targets in dollars on another. Compare them directly and every attainment figure is off by 1,000x.

The guard
Read the unit in every header you use. Convert everything to one unit (dollars) in the numbers table before any comparison, and write the unit beside every figure on every slide.

How to check it
Every figure on a slide has a unit, and no comparison mixes units.

Example
Revenue ($000) 2,184 = $2,184,000. Target ($) 2,100,000. Attainment 104.0%, not 0.104%.
