What goes wrong in this use case
The request says 'Q3 actuals only'. The workbook also holds forecast rows (Q4, and a forecast true-up inside Q3). By the third slide the filter is forgotten and forecast rows creep into totals.

The guard
Before computing, restate every filter in the request (period, actual vs forecast, anything else) and list the rows you excluded and why. Apply the same filters to every slide, and re-check them at the end.

How to check it
The excluded-rows list names every forecast row, and no slide total includes one.
